I leaning towards not at all. Maybe not although I'd probably rather them add a choice of nicknames is fine by me. I think they can not do that with the total amount of voice acting needed. Likely, if that is true, I would prefer the 2K10-2K13 narrative that was easy but still plenty of NBA 2K21 MT fun also allows room. I remember that! Decisions That Truly MATTER.
They would still need to record every person who mentions your player's name saying every secondary nickname. Can definitely be a nice touch if they could pull off it! Name a game that includes every casted A-list Hollywood voice celebrity record every one of the 100+ accessible nicknames and then place edits every one into different cut scenes to load based on what you've chosen.I'm interested in. Applying one makes it to be smooth and organic. Start dubbing in secondary nicknames, the cut scenes will sound like the shitty in match PA announcements: Now shooting.THE DUDE.who went 10/10 final night.
2K leaning hard into making MyCareer a true RPG experience, which is something I personally like (I'm also an avid player of DnD, so this is kinda my niche). That having been said, they should seperate MyCareer and Park that the people that wish to play competitive can do this with no unnecessary cutscenes, and folks like me who enjoy a narrative based style that is heavy on the narrative (I also love Metal Gear btw) can appreciate that experience also. I'd like an RPG expirience if the narrative was not simple and overly painful to make it through, while this is unpopular I wish they didn't have voice acting so they could have more dialouge and make it more customizeable.
I agree with you 100 percent (particularly in regards to 2K16/18/19), but I think that the criticism for this years narrative is somewhat unfair. I really feel like I've tapped out all the cutscenes in roughly 30 games, due to that and that I haven't actually touched MyCareer in a couple of months. Yeah 2K20 has an alright story but they really must fall the nicknames, and it pops away too soon, in a 13 year career you get half a year of story.
Additionally, just eliminate almost all the cut scenes. Talk about a waste of time. The amount of development time which goes into thing that nobody wants to sit is such a waste that could enter other parts of NBA 2K21. I liked it. Albeit annoying to replay every time you make a brand new player, it can be jumped. I believe it to have brought extra value to the $60 game that's otherwise rinse and repeat sports drama, also supplied me with hours of amusement that I might have instead spent $100+ for at the movies, golf course, bar, etc.. Like they'd have invested that time adding something like, a 18, it is not.The entire MyLeague section of NBA 2K21 has become very stale and in need of MT for sale 2K21 a revamp to bring it back up to standard. The real contents have changed ever since possibly earlier besides two or one or 2K16 features being removed/added that aren't really that significant. Personally, I think we need a more realistic sim engine since I see teams not even make the playoffs or shed in the first round to the 8th seed 4-0. This also make it much more engaging to determine your teams that are great be rewarded and would add realism.
